CHAPTER 4: GATHERING TO TENT CITIES.
Some of the members with food storage thought it was about putting our things in a common pot. Some of them chose not to go the meeting because they didn't feel they should have to share what-they had accumulated. Other people were teasing them about having to give all of it up and share it with those who hadn't prepared.
Once it was time for the meeting to start, the doors were locked. You could leave, but couldn't get in. It reminded me of the temple dedications in our chapels via satellite broadcast. Someone spoke to us and then there was a broadcast from SLC. At the broadcast we were given the details of the trip. I was sitting in the chapel in the stake center on the right side, almost at the back of the chapel. We were told not to tell anyone about the details in the meeting. It seems the meeting was a weeding out process in itself. In Sister Smith's dream they had a letter read to them in their private meeting in the Relief Society Room. Perhaps because we live in a different place, we had the satellite rather than the letter. I don't know.
We were given a list of things that could be brought and used in the place of refuge, if we had them that the Church would transport for us. We had to mark the items we had on this survey of sorts that included... a piano, musical instruments, music, table and chairs, one bookshelf per family, (these 2 items to make living area more efficient), any livestock, computer (although I don't remember using the computer, it was that we were to bring it for some future reason). Everyone had the same list; everyone had the same things, if we owned them at the time, at the place of refuge.
At the meeting, I remember being concerned about my kids on missions. At the time we had 2 missionaries out, and were told that they would come to the place we were going, so not to worry about them. We had to fill out something about them, so the church knew what missions they were at and where to send them. The arrangements were made for them in those countries. Several other families had missionaries as well and the same arrangements were made for them. I remember the moment I thought about them, and felt concern, this answer came. I didn't think about them again. (They are both home now, I think I saw that to know how it all worked; if our children, or others, were elsewhere and we needed to get them home.
A semi truck came that night, at an appointed hour. They backed up and the door of it was as close as it could get. It was so close you couldn't see from the road that ·things we-re being loaded into the truck. There were quite a few men, none of whom I recognized, who loaded the food storage up, (the hour was in the wee hours of the morning, so people around us would not see a semi was taking things from our house). They started loading things in our area as soon as it was dark and went from house to house. The same thing was happening all over the valley in other stakes. Somehow the food and other items were known that it was ours. I don't know how, but when we arrived at the place we got it back. I remember looking in my food storage room which is the size of a large bedroom, and which had been filled. I remember looking in there after all was loaded and there were a few scraps of paper left on the floor. I remember thinking how odd it was to have one of my life's works out of my house. I remember men quickly walking up and down the stairs with buckets and canned things in their arms, quickly moving the food. What has taken us years to accumulate took about 30 minutes to be loaded and gone.
It seems that the truck that came for the piano, musical instruments, and table and chairs, etc. came first. I remember looking in the truck and seeing other items in there, with moving blankets on them.
The truck was half-full when it was on its way and then another would take its place. It was all organized so well.
We had one horse (now we have two). A truck came and took her, the hay we had, and saddle, bridles, etc. She loaded very easily, which, in itself, is a miracle! It was getting dark when they took her. The chickens were taken, but I don't remember seeing the details of that. They were needed. The horses and other livestock would be used by the entire camp, not just us.
It was suggested we bring our scriptures, hymn books, tent, sleeping bags, basic clothing, and to be very wise with what we chose, and other supplies to run our own little home (tent). We were to bring our family history; other items such as selective/resource books, paper, pencils, etc. I remember the spirit directing us as we gathered things. As we left I remember turning to see the hutch that was my mom's and being sad to leave it. I wanted the house to be clean when we left. In my mind's eye as we left I saw my house with other people in it after we had left; but they were there only a short time. (It seems they were bandits of some sort seeking temporary shelter. They didn't take anything from our house when they left. They were mostly interested in finding food and shelter.)
We had a short amount of time to get our things packed. It seems only that evening and night, and maybe some of the next day. We left in the morning, though not early morning. It was at an appointed time and we had to be there promptly, or the caravan would leave without us. We met at a parking lot. I think our stake house, but I am not sure. We traveled in ward/stake groups. We joined other caravans. Someone was leading us.
Our gas lasted a long time, but we did have to stop to get gas. They wanted us to still have gas in our tanks when we arrived. As we traveled, it seems our caravan grew; other people from other areas joined us along the way. I don't remember how; our caravan just got longer. We drove a lot. We were on the freeway for a while. It seems we traveled south to begin with, but I really can't say for sure. Then we went near the mountains. I remember traveling east after we left the freeway I was familiar with. When we got to a stop sign, I noticed terrain that reminded me of where the Soda Springs/Lava to Bear Lake area is, though I don't think that was it. Our travel, it seems, took us too far to be there as we only live a couple of hours from there now.
We were in the wilderness. It was on a plain with mountains surrounding us. No other structures or buildings were around us. I was like it is on the drive south of Inkom, Idaho until you get to Tremonton. There is very little there along the freeway. We left the freeway and traveled east for a while before arriving at the destination point.
We traveled with the other people in our ward and stake, though from our ward there were only about seven families. Each ward from our stake had an average of 7-10 families. That was very heartbreaking to me.
It was nice weather. When we came to the stop sign, I had my window rolled down, the temperature was pleasant. I had on summer clothes and tennis shoes without socks on. I had on sunglasses and my hair pulled back which would indicate we had been in the car awhile. My husband had on a short sleeve shirt and sunglasses. Our van was packed! I remember drinking water from a water bottle and eating something, though I don't know where the food came from, maybe our 72-hour kits??
The van was as full as it could be, barely enough room for us in it! I don't remember ever stopping except for gas. I don't remember eating, except at the stop sign, though I know we had to. I know there were a few RV's, but not a lot of them. At the meeting, people were told to bring medication for the trip. As we arrived, healing was in the air. Medication would not be needed. There were already people there who, upon the arrival of our caravan, came to help. I am sure we helped the next people in, and 50 on. Things were ready for us when we arrived. When we got there, we were given our assigned places. We were with the people from our ward/stake. I remember being so grateful to be with people I loved and knew. It was a great feeling of security to have them.
We have a large tent, so we were quite comfortable. Our sleeping bags were on cots (which I need to purchase!). They were at one end. The stove was at one end of the tent, (we have a cabin wall tent with a stove that comes with those), the table next to it and the shelf. There were all our big rugs on the floor. We brought our trailer and put our food storage in it to keep it safe from the weather. I was excited because I knew I would see my missionary children soon. In our tent were familiar things so it seemed more like home. (The girls had their favorite blankets and a stuffed animal on their beds.)
My dream ended upon arrival and set up, so I don't know anything about the way it was after we were set up.
One of the mam Impressions I have was, how organized everything was. Everything had been well planned out and taken care of. The Spirit of the Lord was there in great abundance. We were guided and directed in all that we did. There was no panic, but time was important; to move quickly but Wisely.
The animals arrived well before we did and the arrangements for the livestock was already there, food, etc.
I know there were other places of refuge organized and this same scene was being carried out on other places. However I do not know where. It took a lot of faith for people to do this. But these same people had built that faith, by being obedient by gathering food storage and other preparedness items. They had sacrificed already many worldly goods over the years. I wonder now if that is why there were few RV's. These people had all taken a huge leap of faith to be there. I felt like I was among giants! As I reflect back on it, these people were the cream of the crop and willing to do whatever it took to be obedient to their God. It wasn't just the food storage commandment they were obedient to; their lives were in harmony with the spirit and they were obedient in all!

It wasn't just the food storage commandment they were obedient to; their lives were in harmony with the spirit and they were obedient in all!
A brother in my ward had his first vision on Wednesday night. This is a brother who has had dreams like mine where he felt he went and "lived his life in the future" for a few minutes. This vision was the same. This vision occurred during the night. He was asleep and dreaming disjointedly then suddenly he had a brilliant mental clarity and experienced what he strongly felt was a near-future event in his life. He was lying in bed when the vision disappeared from his open and awake eyes yet the Holy Spirit still communicated personal revelation, knowledge and pure understanding to his mind for several more minutes as he lay there processing what he saw.
Although his vision contained perhaps 60 seconds of "future life", he was given a great amount of additional information from the Holy Ghost - things he simply understood were happening around him and in the world at large. Most of the focus was on the information he was given, not the visual things he was shown. Here is what he saw:
He was standing in a church that was not our local building. If it was our stake center he did not recognize it - he only knew it was not our local neighborhood building. Down the hall was a long line of adults - perhaps 100 people. He said he knew very clearly there were no children there. He has no idea where the kids were but he understood clearly that it was adults only in the building at this time. He saw both men and women in the line but their faces were veiled from him. (Upon hearing this detail I felt the holy ghost confirm that the Lord protects all of our agency, thus the reason everyone's faces were veiled to his mind.)
This brother was part of a smaller meeting with other men. They were looking at maps. He felt a sense of responsibility and understood he had been asked to be some sort of co-captain to accomplish a task. Perhaps the task was the safe travel of the Saints because that is what they were discussing. They were trying to figure out how to get the Saints safely to a place. He understood this was THE call to places of refuge. We live in Houston, Texas and he felt that we could travel fairly safely through Texas but there was some concern about the route to a certain place beyond our state borders. He and the other brothers did not yet know exactly where our camp was. (It was almost as if you had to make it safely to a first point where further directions may be given?) He felt they had to carefully map the route to avoid certain places.
At this time he got a feeling that things were actually still normal in the world. In an instant he understood that all of our food storage and supplies had already been loaded on trucks and were gone ahead of us. The people would be traveling separate from the supplies. He never saw the transport trucks, he simply understood the supplies were being transported first and were already gone. (This is most likely so the transport trucks "blend in" on the highway as opposed to being followed by long trains of Mormon mini-vans, giving away what they are! LOL!) In his mind he instantly knew it was mid-week - specifically a Wednesday or a Thursday - and that he should be at work. For a moment he felt a little trepidation at leaving his job when things seemed so normal. He had an instant understanding that one of the biggest reasons more people weren't leaving is because the men were completely unwilling to leave jobs when everything seemed "just fine". Convincing the priesthood of the need to protect their families by fleeing right now had been incredibly difficult. He understood clearly that things seemed normal for us here. (But why certain cities or routes had to be avoided was unclear. He just knew they were dangerous.) He also had a very sure knowledge that the saints who were going had been persecuted by other members, even by their own ward members. It seemed the worst persecution had come from within our own church and our own ward families. He said the people standing in line were peaceful and calm and that there was an incredible sense of order to the whole thing. (I personally wondered if the people he saw were emotionally drained from the persecution and physically exhausted from packing that they'd had ample time to relax and let their faith and the Holy Ghost work on them.) He understood that there were some people in the line who had prepared to the best of their ability and they were being welcomed to go.
He could see that there was bright, beautiful sunlight coming in from outside. He knew it was mid-day and again, that he should be at work. He could "feel" that the weather outside was delightfully pleasant and described it as being like California weather where you enjoy being outside because the temperature is perfect. (In Houston this type of weather can occur between January to May, depending on cold fronts or the lack thereof. Most of this weather occurs in March or April here.) He was still meeting with the brothers when his surroundings seemed to vaporize and he was lying awake with eyes open in his bed. The revelation to his mind continued for the next several minutes.
The most poignant bit of personal revelation he got was for him to pay close attention to conference. It was made clear to him that the brethren are deliberately looking for ways to hint to us of what is coming and that they are using Ensign articles and conference talks to communicate in a clear way to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. Please forgive me if my words do not paint this picture correctly. He did NOT get any revelation FOR the brethren but he got personal revelation that told him the brethren are trying to reach HIM in this way and he must search for it and study it out. It was made clear to his mind that anything he heard or discovered being repeated 3 times was of the utmost importance. It had to be given the utmost importance and was a vital priority. He felt the spirit tell him again he must listen to conference and seek these things. The spirit again emphasized anything that is repeated (and especially if repeated 3 times) was of enormous importance and was to not be overlooked.
A Series of Tent City Dreams
Dreams, Visions & Testimonies, Vol III, pg. 161
By Anonymous
Several months ago I was blessed with the experience of having a number of significant dreams over
a period of a few weeks. Most of these dreams focused on the events at the end of the call out period
and the beginning of the return of the Saints back to Jackson County, Missouri.
Dream 1: How long will the Call Out be?
I was shown that the duration of the call out will be for two full winters. I was not told precisely
which month the call out would begin with, but I felt that it would most likely start in the late spring or
early summer time frame. We would have to make it through both the first long bitter winter during
which the invasion of America would occur, and then on through the following second winter. The
Saints will then leave their tent cities during the early spring time (late March to mid‐April). So the total
time in the camps will be somewhat less than two full years.
Dream 2: How Will The Sealed Tent Cities Be Protected?
I had two very vivid dreams regarding this matter and to tell the truth it really was NOT what I had
envisioned the sealing process would be. In my dreams I was shown that when the Lord says the tent
cities will be sealed they will indeed be completely sealed from any outside danger. The Saints in these
tent cities will be placed on another plane of existence outside the range of senses available to the
temporal world. It is not unlike how we mortals live side by side with the spirits in the spirit world. We
coexist with them, the spirits can see us but we can’t see them.
In both of my dreams I saw clear examples of how evil men who were looking for the Saints and their
tent communities actually came into the camps. We could see them and hear them although they
appeared to us as wispy ghostly entities that we could actually see through, but they could not see us.
They could pass through us and our tents and we could pass through them, but they could not see, hear,
discern, or harm us in any way shape or form. In my dream it was amusing to see them come into camp
looking for the Saints, but they could not find us, and after looking around for a while they would leave
and go away.
Dream 3: What Happens After We Leave the Tent Cities?
At the end of our tent city experience, a number of Saints will be chosen to begin the journey back
toward Jackson County. The majority of those chosen will be those who were faithful in the beginning
and went to the sealed tent cities when the Lord called for them to go.
In fact, the purpose for spending time in the sealed tent cities is for the Saints to prepare themselves
to eventually meet with and to dwell in the presence of their God. In my dream it seems that this group
consisted of about 100,000 individuals. Upon leaving Utah though, our travels take a rather circuitous
route; we first travel south into northern central Arizona and then travel eastward towards
Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The purpose for this diversion in travel is that the Lord desires to fulfill his promises to the Lamanites
of North and Central America to include them in the construction of the New Jerusalem. As we travel
through Arizona and New Mexico, we pick up allies from the Navajo, Hopi, Zuni, Apache, and Pueblo
Indian nations. In addition, other Indian tribes from throughout the country and from Mexico and
Central America have been led by the Lord to meet up with the Saints in New Mexico. In addition there
are many Hispanic people who will also join the group. At this point our forces have now grown in size
to over a million people. After leaving New Mexico we will then head north through eastern Colorado, it
is at this point that my dreams get really interesting. We are traveling along the foothills of the Front
Range of the eastern Rocky Mountains, I can see Pike’s Peak off to the west and from my position I
would judge that we are just east of and between the cities of Colorado Springs and Denver. It is at this
point that we then meet up with an enormous group of people who are traveling down from the north.
It is the Ten Tribes. It’s difficult to estimate the size of their group but it is definitely in the millions.
Their forces consist of vehicles that can float in the air and travel some 10‐15 feet above the ground. I
was not told what the motive force for these vehicles is; but I assume that it is some kind of anti‐gravity
technology. I’m not informed either as to where the Ten Tribes have been hidden these past few
thousand years, but in my dream the meeting between our group and theirs is joyous beyond
description.
At this point we join forces and turn east to head across Kansas and on to Jackson County, Missouri.
After relating this particular dream to a relative of mine he later pointed out an interesting correlation in
the scriptures that I had not noticed before. In D&C 133:31 it says, “And the boundaries of the
everlasting hills shall tremble at their presence.” We know from modern revelation that the everlasting
hills are the Rocky Mountains. I would guess that the foothills bordering the eastern Front Range would
qualify as the boundary of the everlasting hills. So once again I see a confirmation in scripture of the
things I have witnessed in my dreams.
There is one other point I would like to make regarding the coming of the Ten Tribes that was
revealed to me in these dreams. In D&C 133:30 it says, “And they shall bring forth their rich treasures
unto the children of Ephraim, my servants.” These rich treasures consist of two things, first it is their
genealogy records, history, and scriptures; and secondly, it is the knowledge of their science, advanced
technology and industrial might. The Ten Tribes are ahead of us in technology by several hundred years.
After reaching Jackson County and we begin the process of rebuilding our society we will be doing it
with the tools and technology of the Ten Tribes. Everything that we presently own of a technological
nature will become obsolete overnight.
In my dream I saw that they can product vast amounts of virtually free electrical power. That energy
is transmitted wirelessly through the air to power everything from ground vehicles (they will also float in
the air above the ground, so you can say goodbye to wheeled transportation) to all electrical appliances,
and the lights in our buildings, etc. They have also developed the ability to trans‐mutate matter into any
other element or combination of elements. No longer will we have to mine or drill deep into the earth
to obtain our raw materials. Copper, iron, Aluminum and all other metals can be created at will just
from the common rocks that cover the earth. Also, virtually all of our non‐metallic goods are formed
from just four basic elements (hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, and nitrogen) with a smattering of other
elements thrown in. So all of our raw materials to create plastics, clothing, and building materials: can
also be trans‐mutated out of common rock.
Dream 4: What Happens During Our Journey to Jackson County?
Our journey to Jackson County is not without danger and some hardship. As our group grows with
the addition of the Lamanite/Hispanic people, and especially after we join forces with the Ten Tribes we
attract the attention of the foreign armies who have previously invaded America. During our travels
across Colorado and Kansas I saw several encounters with the Russian military that are deployed out of
a base located near Saint Louis, Missouri.
In my dreams I was shown that when the U.S. is initially attacked that the Chinese and their North
Korean allies will set up bases of operations on the west coast in Seattle, San Francisco, and Long Beach
Harbor. The Russians will set up bases in New York Harbor, Chesapeake Bay, and in the mid‐west city of
Saint Louis; in addition, their Cuban allies will set up a base of operations in Miami and take over most of
southern Florida. From these strongpoints the invaders will “attempt” to move inland across the
western U.S., but they are met with strong opposition on all fronts. One long running battle that I saw
was an attempted intrusion into Utah by way of Reno and Elko, Nevada. This was undoubtedly the same
battle that the Texas Dreamer also saw in his dream. The foreign armies are indeed able to drop in
troops by parachute anywhere they want to in the country and to resupply them by air. Their ability to
do so does indeed create many problems for the people of the intermountain west who will suffer from
these incursions.
But whenever the foreigners attempt to open up supply lines by road or rail in order to move in heavy
equipment into the Rock Mountain area; they are stopped on every front. Eventually, they stop trying
to take over the intermountain west and concentrate on consolidation their currently held territory on
both coasts and in the Midwest. However, when the Saints and their allies begin to mass together and
move across the Great Plains towards Missouri, both China and Russia and their allies decide it is time to
put an end to this “Mormon Problem”. I see plans to attack the massed Saints/Lamanites/Ten Tribes
and the populations of the intermountain west with nerve gas agents, biological agents, and nuclear
weapons. But before the foreign armies can put their plans into action the Lord bares his arm and wipes
out virtually all of the invaders from off the land of the United States in just a matter of hours.
Prior to this massive act of destruction the US has been hit hard with many natural disasters, there
have been many, many major earthquakes that level most of the cities in the country. There have been
violent storms, tsunamis, and volcanoes going off. But up until this point in time the destruction has
only destroyed existing physical structures in addition to killing many people. In His final act of
vengeance against the wicked and ungodly, the Lord rolls the North American continent from one end to
the other with a series of the most massive earthquakes ever seen by man.
Within the space of just a few hours these earthquakes completely reshape the United States,
resulting in the entire West Coast from Seattle to Tijuana collapsing into the Pacific basin, the entire East
Coast from Maine to South Carolina dropping below the surface of the Atlantic, and all of southern
Florida up to about the Orlando area sinking beneath the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. And finally, the
New Madrid fault from New Orleans to the Great Lakes rips open the Mississippi River Valley and the
states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Eastern Texas, Arkansas, most of Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan,
and Western Ohio/Kentucky/Tennessee, all plummet into the earth with a new gulf or sea flooding in
over this ground. In just one day America loses about a third of its land mass which also happens to
include the location of all of the foreign invaders major bases. Both Russia and China lose millions of
men from their military and tens of billions of dollars’ worth of war supplies have been destroyed that
were brought over to support their conquest of the American continent. With their bases gone, their
military forces destroyed and a fortune in war supplies lost, plus, worst of all the very land and resources
that they had coveted are now lying at the bottom of the sea: all of the foreign invaders pick up and
leave the USA as quickly as they possibly can never to return.
Dream 5: Life in the New Jerusalem
When the Saints and their allies arrive in Jackson County they begin the task of building the city of our
God. Upon their arrival they will find the topography of the land vastly different from what it is now.
Just east of where the temple will be build and where the city of New Jerusalem will be raised, the entire
plain will now sit atop a high bluff of perhaps a thousand feet above sea level.
You can see out across the newly formed gulf upon this bluff to a distance of many miles. Just north
of the temple complex the mighty Missouri River will flow into this new Gulf after making a final plunge
from the bluff above in a spectacular waterfall to the ocean a thousand feet below. The mist rising from
this waterfall will create a spectacular effect of covering the city in a myriad of rainbows as one
approaches the city from the sea. The blessing and responsibility for building this city will fall upon the
Lamanites.
Their ancestors built cities that have stood for thousands of years and they will know how to build
this city to stand throughout the Millennium. The Ten Tribes for many years will form the backbone of
our new industrial society until our children and grandchildren can be taught the sciences upon which
these technologies are built. We cannot be taught or understand these things overnight, it will take
some time. However, it is the blessing, birthright, and responsibility of the tribe of Ephraim to
administer all things pertaining to the government of the Kingdom and to hold the keys of the
Priesthood and the saving ordinances of the temples. Our duties will be to build and administer the
temples, to form the backbone of the government and to act a agents of the Lord in governing all of the
earth during the Millennium.
I am not entirely sure why the Lord shared these dreams with me. At the time, I was not seeking
answers to any particular questions. However, since I saw myself as a participant in these events I am
assuming that I will indeed be there and I guess the Lord felt that these dreams would be of benefit to
me. I am grateful for them and for the sacred truths that I have been taught through them. I share this
information at this time because I feel that it will be of benefit to others so that they may have some
foreknowledge of what is about to transpire in the near future. How soon these events will begin I
cannot say for I was not given that information. But I do feel that it will be soon, time will tell.
