TEXAS DREAMER
My Dream Of A Future Event (Traveling from Texas to Utah)
Background:
I have a college degree in Criminal Justice from Trinity University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I also attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. After serving a two-year LDS Church mission in Northern California, I served in the military intelligence branch the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. Then I joined the County Sheriff's Department in Texas where I live and retired in 1989. I am married and have nine children.
On Tuesday, April 5, 2005 while traveling home from the Houston, Texas temple with my wife, my sister and her husband we were discussing events from the book There Is No Death, by Sarah Menet. (Prior to this time I had never heard of Sarah Menet or Roger K. Young.) When my brother-in-law mentioned about a convoy of large semi trucks traveling westward at the time we are called to the safety of the mountains, my dream returned clearly to me and I then related the dream to them. Up to this time I had not told anyone about the dream.
I have believed for some time the many stories told by members and our church leaders who have warned us that the time would come that we as members of the church would be asked to live the United Order and be called by our church leaders to flee to the safety of the mountains in the west. I have believed this to be Utah and the surrounding inter mountains for protection against outlaw elements and a breakdown of our civil government prior to the second coming of our Savior Jesus Christ. The dream came as no real surprise to me, but I just decided to keep the dream to myself... until now.
My dream of a future event occurred in the summer of 1988 at my home. For three nights in a row, the dream continued and each night I would pick up where the dream left off the night before. At the time I was serving in the Bishopric of the Vidor Ward, Orange, Texas Stake.
My dream is as follows:
I, along with several others, were called to attend a special meeting with the Stake President and the High Council of our stake. Upon arrival at the Stake Center, I noticed those called to attend included Bishops, their councilors, doctors in our stake and those like me who had prior military experience and/or police experience or both, as was my case.
I do not recall the names of the Stake President or the various Bishops, doctors or others that I care to name at this time, but the meeting was about the current breakdown of law and order and the coming troubles facing our nation. Things were bad for our nation at this time both inside and outside with war raging throughout the world, but war had yet to come to our shores.
The feeling I had in this dream was it was just a matter of time. The Stake President said that orders had come from Salt Lake City that it was now time for us in our stake to take in members from Louisiana who had been gathering in and around Lake Charles. He said we were to open our homes to the members and help them. As soon as we gathered all we could from Louisiana to safety in Vidor, we would travel as a group to a gathering place near Woodville, Texas and meet with the Beaumont, Texas Stake.
We were going to organize into units as in the old days; families of ten, then one hundred, then one thousand. The Bishops would be organizing the tens and hundreds, but the larger numbers would be by Stake Presidents. This order was not only for us in Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana.
I understood that Houston, Texas was organizing and Saints from the eastern parts of the country was fleeing west in large groups, mainly for protection in numbers. My part in all this was to be part of the security force that was being organized. We were to organize units as a military security force to protect our movements.
The dream continued. I saw a large tent city at my brother's ranch south of Evadale, Texas at Wiess Bluff. I saw a smaller one at my old home place where my sister lives and one at my other sister's land. I also saw other groups camping in and around North Vidor. I saw later that we were ordered to move from these camps to the Woodville, Texas area.
Much distrust came from outsiders. I remember clearly that Orange, Texas was rather hostile to the Mormons and we did not attempt to set up any camps there. Vidor was more tolerant, Evadale was somewhat hostile toward us, but our strength in numbers prevented them from attacking us.
I helped negotiate a peace treaty with the leaders of the people of Evadale to allow us to cross the Neches River Bridge without interference. I saw thousands of campfires surrounding Lake Tejas near Woodville, as this was one of our camps where we met up with the Beaumont, Texas Stake.
There was not yet a total breakdown of law and order so we received some help from law enforcement in our movements and campsites. Shortly thereafter, we moved as a group by trucks, cars, buses and some semi trucks northwest. Near Gatesville, Texas at the site of a military fort called North Fort Hood, we met some regular army people or National Guardsmen who were stationed there.
They asked us to accept several army tanks as they feared these tanks would eventually fall into the wrong hands or be taken by force by several outlaw gangs. They were about to abandon the fort and therefore wanted the tanks to go to Utah where there was still law and order and some official acting government of the United States who would be restoring order to the nation.
Several of the soldiers joined our group because they had nowhere else to go. The army provided us with large semi-tractor trailer vehicles to load and move the tanks. Many other vehicles were provided, including large gasoline tankers along with fuel, weapons and food. Before this time, we had to scrounge around for gas and supplies and sometimes negotiate with money for needed items.
It seemed the whole world was falling apart, especially Europe except for England. Wars were everywhere and the United States had committed troops everywhere, but since the federal government had declared national martial law, had federalized most of state and local law enforcement and suspended the courts, many people began resisting. Our armies overseas were being recalled to help restore order, but many upon return had just simply refused orders or deserted.
I recall now that my dream showed several large cities in a state of rebellion with mob rule and large gangs, private armies or volunteer armies all fighting for control with the federal government unable to do much to restore law and order. The cities I remember were Los Angeles, St. Louis, Washington D. C. and New York City. San Francisco, Seattle and Denver at the time of our travel were just about in the hands of the outlaw mobs.
All civil rules had vanished. Troops had withdrawn from the cities. There were other cities, but I don't remember if they were in total disarray at this time or if that happened after we all got to Utah. I do recall that things got so bad in Washington D.C. that the government along with the President had flee to safety.
By this time it was no big secret that the Mormons and their friends were fleeing to the Rocky Mountains for safety. From Fort Hood we headed northwest, but we were not to go by way of Denver, Colorado, as that city was already too dangerous for anyone to travel through. Those fleeing to Utah were advised to go around Colorado. We traveled slowly through New Mexico being careful to negotiate our way through the towns and cities.
I do not remember much about Albuquerque, but Gallup, New Mexico, Ship Rock, New Mexico, Southwestern Colorado and Southeastern Utah were trouble zones. Somewhere in one of the trouble zones we had a major battle against a large hostile force that attempted to ambush us. We off-loaded several tanks and easily defeated this force. Also in the trouble zone, armed groups stopped them to get food and also wanted their women. Our response was, "We'll give you bullets (shoot you), but not our women!"
Along the long route, many others joined us, mostly non-members. Traveling near us, but not directly with us were two other large groups of members, one from East Texas and the other either from Houston or Austin, Texas. We were in contact with them. Near Green River, Utah we met large church security units from within Utah who were there defending the way west into Utah and Price Canyon.
I was surprised to meet my son in the Price area where he commanded a company-sized unit, all well-armed. He had been very worried about us and especially his mother and sisters. He said we could come to his place and be with him and my wife's two sisters.
(At this time of my dream, my son was still in high school and living at home. Later he served a full-time mission for the church in Italy, then spent four years at BYU. Later he married a girl from Utah and currently lives there.)
We were then escorted through Price Canyon. Along the way I saw many defensive positions. At Soldier's Summit I saw a huge military camp with tanks, artillery, helicopters and anti-aircraft guns. Here we turned over our tanks and some of the single men and soldiers in our group for re- assignment. It seemed to me that nobody passed Green River without permission.
Once into Spanish Fork, Utah, most of the people were sent to camps already prepared. Some were out near Nephi, Delta and west of Utah Lake. I was to understand that many camps were located through Utah and many were already full of Saints from overseas. My family went directly to my son's home. Then I remember with much pain that one or more of my children had not yet arrived to the safety of the Rocky Mountains. My dear wife suffered much until they eventually arrived safely.
After most of the church had gathered into the safety of the Rockies, the rest of the world began to really fall apart. Many who had not traveled to the Rockies the first time attempted to come, but found the way blocked by outlaw gangs or of thugs who preyed heavily upon them. There were few who made it. The whole world including the United States was at war to the like the world had never seen. There was no true safety or law and order in America.
I remember later a large hostile army that came from California by way of Reno, Nevada to fight us, but after a year of hard fighting, they retreated back to California. At about this same time another larger army came from Denver, Colorado, but after a short time and with very heavy loses on their side, trying to force their way into Price Canyon, they retreated back to Denver. My dream finally ended with a general sense of peace and safety as the rest of the world continued to war.
Question & Answers:
Since recording my dream and having several people read it, a few simple questions or concerns have been expressed. I believe this is a good place to answer them.
First is the question of time. The year of the event is not known, but it was sometime in the near future. The gathering had already begun before our trip west. It had started prior to the world war and members began coming quietly from overseas to Utah. Many from the west coast were already in camps in Utah. The borders of America were open because it seemed to me the Border Patrol was less effective at this time and later was called upon to help with riot control in the major cities.
The gathering in Southwest Louisiana had been quietly going on for several months. The move from Lake Charles, Louisiana, took only a week. The collected Saints came not only from Louisiana, but some had already come from places such as Mississippi, Florida and Georgia. In Vidor, Texas, they remained about two months or less before the general move to the Woodville, Texas area.
We remained in that area for about a month or less. The trip from Woodville to Utah lasted about two or three weeks. Vehicles broke down on the way. Some that could not be quickly repaired were abandoned on the side of the roads. The Captains of ten and one hundreds were responsible to see that the families and or supplies were transferred to other vehicles in their group. A lot of baggage was left behind. Many had over packed and found themselves arriving in the mountains with just the clothes on their backs.
The attacks on Utah from California and Colorado came some time after our arrival, maybe a year or less. The war with California lasted more than a year, but the attack from Colorado lasted less than six months. Both attacks came at about the same time, but were not coordinated by our enemies.
Second question is about the number of people. I was never really sure on the numbers, but it seemed to me there were about two thousand from the Lake Charles area and less than a thousand from our stake. Sadly, less than half of our Ward would go. Many had too many other worries and said it wasn't bad enough yet and they'd come later... maybe. These are the ones who tried to come later and who suffered the cruelty inflected upon them by gangs and mob law. This was happening throughout the country with the gathering. As one looks now at numbers less than 40% of Wards today are considered active. Less than half that number hold temple recommends or pay their tithing and offerings. I fear only the faithful will answer the call to move west.
The third question was about the breakdown of the civil government and law and order. I did not see a total breakdown of the government for the entire nation. We flew the current American flag, as did other groups outside the Church and who still believed in freedom and America, but they were disorganized and many misguided in their various causes. Many cities and States fell apart as rebellion and riots with mob rule, continued to grow. Simply put, I saw the cities and State police, now under federal control, could not stand up to so much crime and disorder. Even with the help of the Army and National Guard, many cites were lost to the mobs.
It seemed to me that when the government suspended rights and the courts, imposed martial law throughout the land, then forced food and gasoline rations and imposed other oppressive means, some unlawful, the people got fed up with it, and the riots and rebellion started.
Local taxes and the Federal Income taxes were not paid and with the failure of banks, the stock market unable to operate, along with very high oil prices and limited food, it was a general breakdown of control.
Banks and stores were robed with local officials and judges murdered. Even with the military recalled home, many soldiers wouldn't fire upon fellow Americans. The Church warned the Saints to obey the law, but a few hot heads didn't listen. I saw even Salt Lake City faced with unrest. But I did see that by the time we arrived in Utah Valley, Salt Lake City and the rest of the State had effective law and order.
A fourth question arose from the third question. What about the banks and our money? At the time of our move to Utah, most banks had failed. The stock market was unable to operate in New York City. Money was still around, but a lot of people didn't trust it. We used money to bribe some of the people to allow us to pass safely through their towns. Since we were under the United Order, most of our cash money went to the Bishop to use as he saw fit. Still many gangs and mobs lusted for money and gain. They would kill even for money that was soon to be worthless.
The fifth question was about the wars. I'm not sure how the world war started, but it had to do with oil in the Middle East and Israel. European nations, facing no oil, got involved. About this same time Russia was on a course to regain their past glory and clashed with just about everyone. Meanwhile, war had begun between India and Pakistan. Iran had stirred up trouble in the Middle East and had something to do with starting the war with Israel, but I'm not sure how. All I remember is that war was everywhere in the world.
A sixth question had to do with the missionaries. I did not recall any full time missionaries serving in the United States or anywhere else in the world at the time of our movement. I believe missionaries had already been to Israel, but had been recalled because of the war. This I'm not sure of. I think there was some missionary work still going on in Mexico and in South America. They were not from the United States, but were local Elders from the various countries. There was no missionary work going on in North America.
Then the question about Mexico, Central America and South America. What was happening there? I'm not sure, except there was no mad rush for them to go to Utah, but there was some, mainly from Northern Mexico, Arizona, Texas and California. I just didn't see what happened there. War came to them I know. I saw Spanish American people fighting for the Church in the California war, so apparently some came to Utah.
A final question about the North American Indians. What did they do? I saw that at first they were very suspicious of everyone and especially the federal government, but I did see that they came in mass to the aid of the Church because many were already members and they saw the Saints treat them fairly. This happened at the time of the attacks on Utah.
Today a lot of my dream makes more sense to me, but at the time it was confusing, though as I said before, I already accepted the general facts of what may be or more likely will happen unless this nation repents... which isn't likely to happen as we continue to sink deeper into the coming events spoken by our leaders about the very last days.

TEMPLE DREAMER
THE TEMPLE DREAMER - AFTER THE COLLAPSEDecember, 2007
These dreams began about a year and a half ago. They were sporadic at first, then began to occur more frequently as time passed. For most of the last year, they have occurred two to three nights per week, and sometimes repeat more than once within a single night. Some are very detailed; others only broad sketches of events. Most are vivid, in that sounds, and sometimes even odors, make themselves known.
I have rearranged these events into what amounts to a very rough chronology. Where appropriate, I've made notes as to when they occurred.
A number of these dreams have involved planning for what I've come to see as an exodus of the prepared Saints from their homes, to places of relative safety. The first dreams that described plans and preparations did not occur until well into the sequence of dreams I've experienced. They did not occur at first. One of the most puzzling things about the dreams as a group is that they did not come to me in a logical sequence, beginning to end. It's been left to me to make sense out of them, even when they appear to be far out of order.
From what my dreams have told me, I gather that the prepared Saints are leaving their homes to escape the end of the world as we've known it. The planning for this exodus has been under way at high levels in the church for years. Vast amounts of preparation have gone into the effort before it is ever made known at the stake or ward levels. Resources are already in place before the events shown in the dreams begin to take place.
The first dreams in the chronology take place in what is obviously my own stake center in xxx, Utah. There are a series of meetings which take place in the High Council Room (which I recognize) of this building, between brethren that I do not recognize, and members of my own stake presidency and High Council. These meetings are attended only by invited brethren, and the strictest confidence is maintained.
Other similar meetings are being held throughout the Church. Each area's responsible leaders report to headquarters at Salt lake City by various means, including telephone, electronic mail, and even satellite link when necessary.
At these meetings, a plan is revealed for getting the prepared Saints from their homes to prearranged places of relative safety. Over the course of a number of these meetings, the effort is organized in a manner strikingly similar to that used when the Saints were preparing to leave the eastern United States for the valleys of the Great Basin.
There are to be overall leaders in charge of large numbers of people. Under these brethren, others serve as captains of 100, and as captains of 20. Logistics are managed using the basic underpinnings of emergency preparedness that the Church has been teaching since the 1930's. Arrangements for trucks to haul food storage items and other necessities are made. Telephone calling trees are arranged as necessary, as are other means of communication, including specific people assigned as runners, couriers, and go-betweens when necessary.
Finally, on one critical Sabbath day, as the normal meeting block nears its end, the bishop of my ward (and presumably bishops throughout the church on the same day) stands at the pulpit, and gives a rather strange announcement. He asks that those who have their year's supply of food and other necessities ready at home stay behind at the end of meeting block. All others (including curiosity seekers) are pointedly asked NOT to attend. This is strictly enforced.
Once the furor has died down, and the chapel doors have again been closed (being guarded by trusted brethren pre-assigned to the task), the Bishop lays out a plan which requires a great deal of faith from the attendees. He says that very early on the following morning, trucks manned by able-bodied brethren will move around the ward, and these men will upload the food storage supplies, carefully marked as to who they belong to, from the homes of each of the prepared families into the trucks for transport.
Family members will be asked to prepare themselves and their immediate families for a long journey, as they will be away from home for an extended period. These people will be loaded onto buses for a journey to a place of safety. They are warned that conditions will often be quite harsh, and that creature comforts, as such, will be few.
A few families will be allowed to bring RV's, house trailers and the like, with the understanding that these will be used for special purposes after arrival at the destination. Some of these RV's will have been equipped by their owners for special purposes such as generating power or heat, providing makeshift command posts, improvised medical infirmaries and the like. Strict attention will be paid to practicality, and few resources expended on luxuries. Allowances will be made for pregnant women, those currently ill, and for newborn infants to be housed in such "hardened" quarters as the RVs may provide. Most ward members will be quartered in tents. or whatever other shelter may be available at the various destination points.
Most ward members will be asked to leave with only what they are wearing, and a few small bags containing personal items, prescription medications, and other similar necessities. They are to lock their homes securely, and bring with them only essential items, important papers, and so on.
The whole process is to be done quietly, with an effort being made to maintain as much secrecy as possible. It is stressed repeatedly that there is no reason to fear, but that there are real reasons for haste.
One of the most vivid of the dreams (and among the first I experienced) has repeated itself quite a number of times, each time from a slightly different point of view, and with different feelings and impressions noted each time.
The scene is the west parking lot of my stake center. It's evident that similar events are occurring throughout the church.
It's very early on what appears to be a morning in late winter. The moon has set in the west not long before, and the constellation Orion isn't far above the western horizon. As I stand in the parking lot of the building, looking toward the east, I see the constellations that will, in a few weeks, be part of the springtime evening sky rising at this pre-dawn hour.
The position of the constellations, coupled with the fact that participants are dressed in winter clothing, and that there are still patches of unmelted snow on the ground confirms that the time of year is indeed, late winter.
People are milling about, speaking in hushed tones. Only a few lights are burning in the stake center. Most light comes from flashlights carried by brethren helping families onto buses which wait grouped around the building. The whole effort is well organized and orderly, as sleepy-eyed children and their somewhat bewildered parents are helped aboard buses, while a careful accounting is kept of which families are aboard which buses. No one must be left behind, and family members must not be allowed to get separated.
The supply trucks and RV's have already moved out when the last of the buses is loaded, and the journey to prepared places of refuge begins. The buses move out in caravan well before the first rays of sunlight touch the mountains to the west.
As this dream ends each time, I hear the squeak of snow underfoot, and the crunching of small cinders under my boot soles as I walk down the steep hills toward home. The air is almost painfully cold in the pre-dawn darkness. The stake center sits now fully darkened, its parking lot empty behind me, and I feel alone almost to the point of fear.
For reasons that have never been made clear, I have been asked (along with a few others in my area) to remain behind. The reasons for this haven't been made clear, except that they have something to do with the xxx temple. One of the greatest mysteries in this whole series of dreams is why I've been asked to stay behind when there are so many better-qualified brethren among us. I just don't know.
As time has gone on, I have had many dreams which speak of economic collapse not just in our country, but around the world. America's great power, both economic and military, has been eroded to the point where America is just one poor nation among many. Oil and related energy prices will have risen to the level where just getting by takes every dollar most families can generate. Gasoline, what little there is of it, is simply too expensive to use for most of us. Personal cars lie abandoned in driveways, or wherever in the streets they ran out of fuel.
Natural gas for heating homes no longer flows through the pipelines much of the time. Most of us live in cold, rather dark homes. Candles are at a premium, since electrical power is only available a few hours a day, when it's available at all. People have been forced to hunker down. Times are harder than we've experienced since pioneer days.
Food is in similarly short supply, since the energy costs in producing it have outstripped the resources of the producers. Civilian air travel has virtually ceased, since energy costs have made running a profitable
airline almost impossible. Only military aircraft pass overhead, albeit infrequently. Railroads still operate at skeleton levels, moving what little freight remains to be transported.
Internationally, much of Western Europe is all but dark, since oil flowing to the west from the former Soviet Union has been all but cut off by those running the Kremlin. Old alliances are being firmed up again between mainland China and the Russian bear. Naval fleets are being readied, as are the largest standing armies in the world.
The Middle East is a fire, with Israel hanging on by its fingernails, struggling just to exist in a world bent on its destruction. AI-Qaida and similar organizations have turned much of the world into a killing ground, from the Middle East, through Indonesia and the Far East. Radical Islam holds sway in an ever growing portion of the world. Terrorism is rampant.
Through all of this, the United States military is entirely unable to cope. Its resources have been consumed, and its personnel driven beyond exhaustion in wars of attrition in the Middle East, and on the Korean peninsula. Government leadership has ordered them to fight on, even when it has become obvious that victory is impossible. Aircraft, vehicles, and fighting gear from tanks to rifles are all worn out, and there is no funding to replace them. The once-proud military of the Cold War has been replaced by a force of willing, brave men and women, with nothing to fight with. Determination can only carry these people so far; and they've exceeded that limit.
Australia's position in the world has become untenable. Since Virtually all of its fuel, metal, oil, and other raw material needs must be met via import from overseas, this huge island is effectively just that; a large and helpless island. Starvation has become commonplace, as has disease, and the lawlessness that comes with despair. Airline travel has all but stopped, and ships leaving the country are few. Piracy on the high seas has become commonplace in the waters around both Australia and New Zealand. Murder of crews and passengers is commonplace, and beyond the reach of law enforcement to control. To travel away by sea is not a good alternative.
The media have been taken over by propaganda-generating organizations. People are being lied to on the grandest scale in human history. The United States is slowly being invaded by outside forces, military and paramilitary. There are only limited moves to stop the invasion, since most people are unaware that it is happening.
Those Saints who have joined the caravans to relative safety have arrived at their destinations in a number of other dreams. Most are housed in what are effectively tent cities. Again, much of the organization of these tent cities resembles the settlements of pioneer times.
There are local governments in each camp, run strictly along church lines. Communication between camps is mostly by courier, with only occasional communications from church headquarters in Salt Lake City.
Those people who are unable to work (the elderly, the infirm, young children, etc.) are cared for as well as circumstances permit. Those who are physically and mentally fit to work are expected to do so. Those who refuse to work, or who do not adhere to the rules of the camps are dealt with severely. Banishment without supplies or tools is used as punishment in most cases. In extreme instances, these individuals are eliminated.
Those with special training (medical doctors and nurses, engineers with experience in areas such as structural engineering, water purification, agricultural production, and so on) put their talents and training to work at building needed structures, providing drinkable safe water to the encampments, and building and working in greenhouses to help grow food for barter, and to augment the stored food supply for each camp.
My dreams haven't told me precisely where these encampments are located, except to make it clear that at least some of them are in places where they are "hiding in plain sight" from the bands of roving troublemakers (whom I think of as two-legged predators) which fan out from the cities in search of food or whatever else they can find.
I can only make some guesses as to where some of these camps are located. At least one is in the xxx valley of northern Utah. Several more are in various places in the rugged mountains of southern Idaho. I know this because I'm familiar with the terrain in these areas, and it strongly resembles that seen in my dreams. At least one of the Idaho encampments is in a heavily wooded area, where even at midday, only a little sunlight penetrates.
I believe that at least one camp is located not far from xxx, Nevada. Yet another lies in or near the xxx mountains of New Mexico.
Another encampment, largely housed underground in a complex built in the 1950's for protection from atomic attack, lies somewhere in Maryland. There is a second encampment somewhere in the xxx mountains of Maryland, and a third elsewhere in northern Virginia. How I know these things I am not certain, because I've never visited either Maryland or Virginia; but I'm convinced the encampments are there.
There are enclaves in the red rock country of southern Utah, and in northern Arizona.
Many of the world's great cities either lie in ruin, or have largely been abandoned to roving bands of two-legged predators. london is a battleground, as is Tel Aviv. Paris has again been taken over by invaders of various stripes. Berlin is barely habitable.
In the United States, los Angeles and San Francisco are jammed with desperate people trying to ride out the storm. Much of Boston's low-lying areas are in ruin, having been destroyed by water in cataclysmic tidal waves. Only the Boston Temple and its outbuildings are untouched by the waters.
Chicago is another urban battleground, with battle lines being drawn between ethnic groups. In that regard, it resembles London, Tel Aviv, Paris, and Berlin.
The only city I've been shown that may have endured atomic attack is Denver, Colorado. Much of the city is flattened, though this might have been done by conventional explosives if enough of them were used in a coordinated fashion. Survivors along the Front Range have fled to the surrounding mountains. Those trapped in Denver itself are in desperate straits indeed.
In Salt Lake City, life in daytime is rugged. Roving bands of street toughs rob, steal, loot, and take over whole city blocks. Those who remain in the city trying to live, hide almost constantly from these thugs. For those trapped here, it must be like living in Iraq was during the second Gulf War. At night, the streets are deserted. One must never venture out at night.
The understory of the area around Temple Square is gridded with an extensive network of well-secured underground tunnels. Temple Square itself is almost pristine. Church government continues to function here, though entry to the square is strictly controlled. Entry to the tunnel network is heavily defended, and the whole system is virtually impregnable to any but those authorized to be here.
Many of my dreams (which recur many times, sometimes separated from each other by weeks) concern my own activities as a "stay-behinder" in this story. It's never really made clear to me why only a few of us have stayed behind at the request of our leaders. Again, the only thing I can say with certainty is that it has something to do with the xxx Temple.
Whether we serve there as caretakers, overseers, workers performing special ordinances, or for whatever reason I cannot tell. I do know that we still dress always in white, maintain the customary reverent silence by talking in whispers, and behave much as we do during today's routine ordinance work.
Since there is little or no electrical power available on the city's grid, and diesel fuel for the temple's generators is extremely expensive and hard to obtain, I can only assume that the halls of the temple are largely dark and quiet. This building was designed in times when electrical power was always readily available so that light coming in from outside wasn't critical. I have no idea how we manage in this tomblike building in the daytime, never mind during the hours of the night when even light from the outside is at a minimum. Somehow, whatever the work is that we're expected to do, we manage.
The temple has become a place dreaded, and often feared by outsiders.
I can't help remembering reading a fable as a child, where Grendel's cave was the terrible place to avoid.
In this case, the xxx Temple is such a place. Most people avoid it as if it were haunted. Many who go there with the idea of breaking into it either to destroy it, or to take whatever treasures they may find within, never return to report their adventures. The temple has a reputation among the desperate of the
area, as a place to watch carefully, and to stay away from.
One scenario that has recurred many times in my dreams (interestingly enough, seen through the eyes of more than one participant during multiple repeats) is one where a group of armed men, some on horseback, approach the front door of the temple on the main-floor level. These men are not in military uniform, but are heavily armed with sporting rifles, and the sorts of other improvised weapons that two legged predators are wont to carry in this time.
We inside hear them coming, and for whatever reason, I'm elected to go out and talk to them. Perhaps I'm just taking my turn, since there are other brethren inside at least as able as I am to deal with the situation. As I said, for whatever reason, this time is my time.
We manage to slide open one of the large doors in the glassed-in alcove that fronts the temple, and I step outside onto a patch of snow-encrusted concrete on the easternmost side of the alcove. I'm dressed in the usual white suit, carrying my cane, and limping a bit. The door is slid shut behind me, and the brethren inside quickly disappear (as we always do) behind the screen backing the recommend desk.
The men outside quickly point their weapons at me, until I remind them that they're pointing loaded guns at an unarmed man who limps, and walks with a cane. Even among thugs, there must be at least a particle of honor, since most lower their weapons while glancing at each other through the corners of their eyes.
The leader of the group (one of the men on horseback) tells me that they are at the temple to search it for weapons, food, or things of value, and then to destroy it by fire. I reply that they, the "unclean" (not a word I'd normally use in daily conversation) are not allowed to enter. I tell them that there are no weapons or worldly treasures inside, no soldiers, and only a little food.
I beg them repeatedly to leave the temple, and those of us inside, in peace. They refuse.
There's a disconnect here that is consistent. I've never seen what happens next.
The next thing I DO see is that the horses have dumped their human cargo and are fleeing at top speed, looking over their shoulders as if the very hounds of hell were after them. Most of the humans are making tracks through the heavy snow too, moving as fast as they can in snow almost to their knees. A few men remain face-down in the snow; whether simply unconscious, or dead, I do not know.
Whatever has happened to them, I'm absolutely certain I didn't do it. Someone, or something, else has turned this group of well-armed would-be invaders into fleeing rabble.
The good brethren inside reappear to open the door, and they welcome me inside. We resume our duties as before. The incident is closed. The first time I saw this incident, I realized that the temple itself is essentially pristine. There's not so much as a broken window, or a scratch on the white limestone on the exterior.
It's obvious though, that this isn't the first attempt to enter the temple by outsiders. The fence surrounding the temple is in ruin, having been pushed down from the outside by heavy vehicles of some sort. The snow outside is badly churned up, with the grass underneath having been torn up by what appear by the tracks, to have been heavy equipment of some sort.
Whatever did this, it never touched the temple itself. Whoever wanted in didn't get in. The temple itself is as it has always been.
Those of us intentionally left behind evidently do not spend all of our time at the temple. We return to our homes and ward buildings at least occasionally. We appear to move always (or almost always) on foot. Occasionally, I see these visits taking place in the warmer months of the year, but most seen so far occur at times of the year when snow is still evident in some amount.
I often see myself either approaching the temple from the south (the direction of my home), or leaving it heading to the south toward home. The still-spectacular view to the west from the street to my home is impossible to misidentify. This is where It's happening.
As I walk down my street, I see the homes of neighbors, many of whom I've known for decades, lying abandoned. The homes look as if their owners simply walked out the front door, closed and locked it behind them, and walked away.
The signs of vandalism are obvious as many houses and other buildings have broken windows and smashed-in doors. From a few windows, curtains flap in the wind through broken-out windows. My own home seems relatively secure, though it's obvious that vandals have at least attempted to approach it. I can see their tracks in the snow. I have no idea why my home has been spared this destruction, but I'm gratefuI for it.
By now there is a terrible disease evident in the land. People are dying by the thousands, though the shortwave radio stations still broadcasting try to convince the people that the death toll is much smaller than it actually is. People are being reassured that the disease, whatever it is, will soon by controlled by
scientists working in some undisclosed location.
My own training in medical biology makes the fact that these broadcasts are lies obvious.
The disease kills quickly, and is no respecter of age, gender, or ethnic extraction. Infected persons fall ill with influenza-like symptoms, quickly sicken, and die within as little as a few hours, or as much as a few days. Antibiotics are of no help against this malady. The disease bears all the sinister earmarks of a virus, though it behaves in ways that no virus I'm familiar with does.
For whatever reason, those of us left behind seem unaffected by the disease, though we encounter infected corpses on a daily basis, and occasionally encounter people barricaded into their homes, who are suffering and dying from it. Food, it appears, can stave off death for a time; but eventually all who are infected die.
The disease, I learn, is occasionally seen in the encampments of the Saints, though it kills only a few, sparing even those who are in close contact with patients as they care for the sick.
By now it is dangerous to move about outdoors at any time and deadly to move about between sunset and sunrise. People trying to hang on in their homes or places of business have learned the hard way not to be caught outside after dark. Roving predators, most of them human, are hunting at night for the unwary.
One must never show a light at night.
Those of us who do move about on our assigned errands encounter wildlife more and more frequently as time passes. Wild things are moving out of the surrounding hills, and returning to their old haunts, though those haunts are now filled with abandoned homes and other buildings. We see deer daily, foraging wherever they can find a bit of green to eat. Raccoons, birds of many kinds, skunks, coyotes, and even an occasional cougar are seen. We can approach them very closely without fear of being attacked, and without their fleeing at the sight of us. I do not know why.
Sadly, we encounter many domestic dogs, abandoned to their fate by those who have gone. Many are obviously skeletal with hunger, and desperate for food and human contact. Those of us left behind are somehow able to approach them without their running in fear from us, and without being attacked ourselves. It seems that if we lead them back to the temple, somehow they can melt into the surrounding hills and regain their strength. As we work in the temple at night, we can sometimes hear them howling, or see them as we watch from the windows or the rooftop, seemingly "patrolling" the area. They alert us to approaching humans by barking, and we're grateful. They are awake when we are
not.
Perhaps this is why the pioneer families often kept their dogs with them. They serve as living alarm systems for intruders.
On many occasions, I find myself having to move around at night on foot. Usually, I am alone; but occasionally one or two other brethren accompany me. We are usually either heading home, or heading out to forage for ourselves. Why we choose to move at night on these errands when moving outside at night is so dangerous, is unclear. We each carry a backpack with a day or two worth of food and water, a sleeping bag and other basic gear, and some sort of optical aid such as a pair of binoculars. We each have with us a source of light, though I'm not certain if this is a flashlight. We never seem to lack for light when we need it, though I never remember seeing any of us using a flashlight or lantern.
Even a trip home, a distance of just over three miles, warrants carrying full gear. In winter, I find myself using a shoulder-height walking stick to struggle along through the snow on the unplowed roads and paths. The stick was given to me many years ago by an old friend, now long on other side of the veil. It brings back fond memories of a fine man, now safely among the "dead" on the other side.
We who are left behind are somehow cared for, though I've seen a number of errands where I/we are foraging for food in abandoned homes. One incident that comes strongly to mind is my finding a large, unopened bottle of peanut butter. I stow it in my pack with regret that I cannot pay for it somehow, or thank its former owner. It goes back with me to the temple, where I presume we consume it together overtime. We must have enough, but just barely enough to keep us going.
On quite a number of occasions on my errands (whether in daylight or in darkness) I encounter two legged predators, armed to the teeth and very dangerous indeed.
Again, there is a disconnect here. As a broken man, I would be an easy target for any of these ruffians. They should rob or kill me at every encounter, but don't seem to get the chance.
For whatever reason, I see them fleeing from me. I have no idea who or what is protecting me. Evidently my would-be attackers do see something. They run as if being pursued by something or someone very dangerous. I never see who or what my protector or protectors are.
Life in the camps becomes routine, and the invaders, some of whom are in gray uniforms, others in khaki or camo gear, don't seem to be able to see the encampments, even when they pass close by. Their air support, mostly helicopters, seems equally unable to detect the righteousness.
The camps and their thousands of righteous occupants hide literally in plain sight. My dreams have yet to show me the resolution of these situations. The story is ongoing.
SARAH MENET
The next thing that came to me was more felt than seen. It was the understanding that shortly after the crashing of the buildings in New York City, commerce ceased. Shopping and buying seemed to stop, and the economy failed throughout the world. Few had any money at all, and those who did have it could not buy anything of worth with it. Gold and silver and other commodities had value and could be traded.
I then saw a man walk into a middle of a crowd of people and drop what seemed like a quart jar full of liquid. The jar broke and the liquid spread. I understood that people nearby had become infected with a disease from the liquid, and they didn't even know it. A day or two later the people became sick and started dying. I saw that this would happen in four particular cities: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Salt Lake City. The disease started with white blisters, some the size of a dime, appearing the hands, arms and face of the victims. The blisters quickly developed into white puffy sores. Those with the disease would stumble around and fall over dead. Many died within a short time, perhaps 24 hours.
I also saw other people with a flu-like virus that spread more quickly than the first disease. The victims had blood coming from their nose, mouth, eyes, and ears. These people died even faster of this disease than the ones who had the first sickness. These diseases became wide-spread across the United States with hundreds of thousands infected.
As the people were fleeing the cities in the hope of saving their lives, gangs were attacking them and killing them. In the towns that were struck with disease there was chaos, with looting, rioting and murders involved in a complete breakdown of society. Many people seemed to go crazy. I sensed that the electricity had failed everywhere and that nothing was running throughout the country, including any of the communication systems. I watched people throw rocks through windows to steal TV's that would not work and thought it was very strange.
While I watched all this happening in the United States, my view instantly jumped back to the Middle East, and I saw the same thing taking place in Israel. The same sores and the same types of sickness and disease that were plaguing the U.S. had also been unleashed in Israel.
The switch in view only lasted an instant, and I was back in the United States. There was a tremendously long winter that caught everyone by surprise following the siege of sickness. It started early and lasted into the summer months. A famine had begun over the few years leading up to the long winter because of storms, droughts, floods and other plagues that had taken place; and the abnormally long cold period seemed to cause the famine to suddenly increase to its full measure.
In the period of time following the disease, which was quickly followed by the long winter, things started going down hill very quickly. Events piled up one on top of another without any breaks. My sense of timing was not very clear at this moment; however because I was seeing several things happening all at the same time or very close together.
During and after the long winter, the disease spread everywhere and increased in severity. The economy and the electricity were completely gone. Chaos and anarchy reigned over the entire United States. Without any government there was a total breakdown, and I saw people panicking everywhere. They were trying in vain to find food. There was none. I saw people even digging in the ground for worms to eat because they were so hungry from the lack of food.
Also, during this time I became aware that there was very little drinking water, and the remaining water had become contaminated, so that if a person drank it they would contract the disease and die. Because of their great thirst many people drank the water in spite of the danger of poisoning and died.
I mentioned earlier the gangs that killed people trying to escape the cities. It seemed that some of the people had lost their minds and went around in these gangs killing people just for the sake of killing; others killed for food or to gain some material possessions from their victims. Those that were killing for no reason were like beasts: animals completely out of control, as they raped, looted, burned and butchered people. I saw these gangs go into the homes of those who were hiding. They would drag them out of their hiding places, rape and dismember them.
For many there was an unnatural fear and hatred that came over the people. Family ties that once existed between husbands and wives, parents and children no longer mattered. The only thing that mattered was individual survival. Men would kill their wives and children for food or water. Mothers would kill their children. For me, the events that then lay before me were horrible beyond description and almost unbearable to watch.
The air everywhere was filled with smoke as many buildings and cities burned with no attempt to control the fires. As I looked upon this scene of chaos, smoke and destruction I noticed that there were small pockets of light scattered over the United States. There were, I would guess, about twenty or thirty of them that I saw. I noticed that most of the locations of light were in the western part of the United States, with only three or four of them being in the east. These places of light seemed to shine brightly through the darkness and were such a contrast to the rest of the scene that they caught my attention. I focused on them for a moment and asked, 'What are these things?'
I was then able to see that these points of light were people who had gathered together and were kneeling in prayer. The light was actually coming from the people, and I understood that the light was showing forth their goodness and love. I further understood that they gathered together for safety and that, contrary to what I had witnessed everywhere, the cared more for each other than for themselves. Some of the groups were small with only a hundred people or so, but other groups consisted of what seemed to be thousands.
I realized that many, if not all, of these places of light, or cities of light as I began to think of them, had somehow been established just before the biological attack, and that they were very organized. It was as if they had known what was coming and had prepared for it. I did not see who or what had organized them, but I did see many people struggling to reach them with nothing but what they could carry.
The cities of light had food that others outside of those groups did not have, and within the cities of light food was readily shared with those who joined their groups. In these places there was peace and safety. The inhabitants were living in tents of all kinds, many of which were no more than blankets held up by poles. I noticed that the gangs made no threats on these groups and left them completely alone, choosing to pick on other targets and unprotected people, as many of the people in those cities had guns that they would use for self-defense. The gangs also preyed upon the people who were traveling, trying to reach the cities of light.
As I looked upon them, I realized that these cities of light were temporary and that in a short time the people living within them would go to another place. I do not know where they were to go but seemed to think that they gathered in the mountains, to higher places.
As I was viewing the cities of light, my focus changed, and I became aware of missiles being launched and hitting U.S. cities. I watched as mushroom clouds started forming over many areas of the United States. Some of the clouds came from missiles that I knew were fired from Russia, and others were not from missiles at all, but from bombs that were already in the United States. These latter bombs had been hidden in trucks and in cars driven to certain locations and then detonated.
I specifically saw Los Angeles, Los Vegas, and New York City hit with bombs. New York City was hit with a missile, but I think that Los Angeles was hit by at least one truck bomb, if not several, because I didn't see any missile. I also saw a mushroom cloud from north of Salt Lake City, but without the aid of a missile.
In the darkness I also saw little fireballs. I'm not sure if this happened just before or during the mushroom clouds. The balls fell from the sky, were of different sizes - most being the size of golf balls - and were very hot. There were millions of them. As they fell from the sky they left streaks of flame and smoke behind them. Everything they touched started on fire: people, buildings, trees, or grass. Everything burned. I didn't ask what they were or where they had come from because by this time I was sick because of the scene before me, and so I observed without asking many questions.
At almost the same time and in the same locations as the mushroom clouds, I saw Russian and Chinese troops invading the United States. The Russians were parachuting at many spots along the Eastern Coast; I also saw them parachuting in Utah. Chinese troops were invading from the West Coast near Los Angeles. They were met with resistance from those who had survived the disease and bombs. I did not see any United States military there at that time.
The invasion was part of the nuclear war that I had seen earlier, and I knew that similar events were taking place all over the world as I had seen previously. I did not see much of this war, but was impressed that it was short in duration and the Russian and Chinese armies lost and left. No explanation regarding how or why was received.
Now the smoke became very heavy, dark and thick. Just as things appeared to be as bad as they could get, the earth began to quake. This occurred during a winter, seemingly the winter that followed the very long one I had seen earlier. The chaos had existed for almost a full year by this time. The earthquakes began in the west, around Idaho and Wyoming, and then quickly spread in every direction. I saw a huge earthquake hit Utah, and then California. There were earthquakes all over California, but they were especially devastating in the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas. San Francisco appeared to turn upside down.
The multiple earthquakes triggered volcanoes all over the west, and they started spewing a tremendous amount of ash and smoke into the air, causing it to become very dark and dirty and blocking much of what was left of the sunlight.
There were also huge waves of water that swept over the west coast, and as I saw them I realized that this same thing was happening to coastal cities all over the world. The waves were so huge that Los Angeles was nearly swept away.
I saw a wall of water taller than some of the buildings, perhaps as high as fifteen or twenty feet, sweep through Salt Lake City. I thought this was strange because of its location so far from the ocean, and wondered how a wave could travel all the way to Salt Lake City. I was impressed that the wave had not originated at the ocean, but was from under ground. I quickly noticed great cracks in the earth around Salt Lake City opened up and saw water shooting up out of the ground. I felt that deep under the ground was a huge amount of water and that the earthquakes had forced it up to the surface. Most of the buildings were swept away or destroyed when the water swept over the city. In fact there had been tremendous destruction, with only a few buildings left standing. The water coming from underground stretched from Idaho down to near Cedar City, Utah, and was very destructive.
As I looked, I could see that cities all over the country had been devastated, and there was rubble everywhere. Most of the buildings were destroyed. However, I realized that even though there was tremendous destruction from earthquakes, disease, floods, volcanoes, and tidal waves, the majority of the deaths were caused by the gangs of roving marauders that killed for pleasure.
As I studied the scene for a moment, the thought occurred to me that the earth itself had become sickened at the terrible acts of cruelty that were happening upon it and was finally reacting through these natural disasters. The earth was attempting to cleanse itself of the chaos and evil that had engulfed the people. The ash and smoke from the volcanoes had increased, and there was now almost complete darkness everywhere upon the earth.
The diseases also increased in devastation, and I saw people literally dying on their feet. I saw another particular disease that started with red blotches, and then the victims would start to bleed from every opening in their bodies. Then the people literally disintegrated, or melted into unrecognizable masses of flesh and bone. The sight was horrendous, as death and the dead were everywhere.
After this second terrible winter, I saw the survivors pile up the dead into huge piles to burn them. The stench was sickening. Some of the bodies had been burned during the time of chaos, but because people were more concerned with their survival they had mostly ignored the dead around them.
A huge earthquake occurred in the middle of the United States. It was tremendous and seemed to split the United States in half about where the Mississippi River is. The crack in the earth that resulted was huge, miles wide, and as it opened up the earth seemed to swallow everything. Water flowed in from the Gulf of Mexico all the way up to the Great Lakes. The Great Lakes did not exist any longer, however, as they became part of a large inland sea.
Then I saw another series of tremendous earthquakes all over the world. But they were not many, separate earthquakes, rather it was all part of one gigantic earthquake that shook the entire earth. Because of this earthquake waters overflowed their boundaries onto land all over the world. There were again huge walls of water along all of the coastal regions. This earthquake and the walls of water made the earlier ones seem small by comparison. I am not sure if the earthquake that split the United States in two was a part of this worldwide quake or not.
Next I saw a mighty wind come upon wind come upon the earth. As the wind hit, I saw people go into caves and into the cracks of rocks to try to escape its fury. It appeared to be stronger than any hurricane or tornado. It seemed that everything that had been left was now blown away.
I understood, without asking, that the great worldwide earthquake and the mighty wind were somehow caused by a huge planet-like object, that had come very close to the earth and had disrupted everything. It was also made clear to me that it was very near the "end" when this happened.
Now my perspective changed: I once again viewed the entire earth from a distance. I then saw a huge fireball, much larger than the earth, approaching our planet. It was extremely bright red and gold in color, and it engulfed the whole earth. When I witnessed this event I could not help but feel the difference between it and everything else that had occurred, and so I asked what this was that I saw. I was impressed that it was the burning of the earth that is described in the Bible. I understood that just before the fireball's appearance Jesus had appeared, and the good people I had seen earlier had left with Him and were no longer on the earth. The few people left behind were those wicked who had survived the earlier devastations.
The picture of the earth engulfed by this huge ball of red and gold fire slowly faded away into blackness. I was thinking that I have to go down and take care of my children so that they could be protected from the terrible things that were going to happen and then I don't remember any more until I woke up in the hospital."
DOZ Recap
There are 3 years of tribulation in America and
pre-tribulation signs leading up to the first year.
• Pre-tribulation: A financial disruption, and a civil war is over (3 months), a
1-2 year period of rebuilding begins, then sudden destruction comes.
• Year 1: Year of Plagues - Natural calamities begin this year (begin Jan-Mar). Comet hits the earth and two plagues have been released. The
month of March (into the next calendar year) is the CO.
• Year 2: Year of Internal Destruction - The third plague will be released
while in camp, mob rule, more calamities, federal government dissolves.
• Year 3: Year of External Destruction - Russia and China invades. Cities of
light called to go to MO. Lost 10 Tribes start to arrive.
------------------------
Pre-Tribulation Signs
• The apostasy in the church is increasing. It will reach nearly 50% in a short amount of
time. The indicators are: opposition to gay issues, and anti-Mormon materials rapidly
disseminated (conspiracy theories the brethren cannot satisfy)
• The hastening of the work continues. Missionaries will not be called home until the first
year of the tribulations.
• In the month of August, (no year given) a civil war will break out over the union contracts
not being honored in Chicago. It will spread over the whole US. Up to 20 million will be
killed over 5 months. It ends when TX drops a nuke into Detroit to stop it all. The
democratic party will no longer exist. No one will admit to being a member of that party
after the war. GOP will still exist. Independent American Party will arise (they will be
extremely conservative).
• The dollar will be devalued. The U.S. will return to the gold standard. After the Civil War
the schools will be privatized to save money to rebuild the economy. The intermountain
area will flourish as they managed to stay out of the civil war.
1st Twelve Months of Tribulation
• The missionaries are called home, and a 3 month period of destruction (Jan-Mar) all over the US
ushers in the beginning of the plague era. NY, Boston, Dallas, Washington State, CA , and Seattle
all face extreme calamity. Utah is still relatively safe. This is the start of FEMA camps, later to be
run by charities.
• The first of three plagues is released when a comet hits the earth. It is identified by having blue
skin with white spots. It will start on the east coast and will be recognized when it hits Indiana. It
will travel northerly to the west coast, down the coast line to the southerly south. There will be
30 million who die. ??
• There will be a 3 month break and plague #2 will break out. It will be a plague of fear. People will
randomly develop diseases and if you have faith, you will live through it. Approx. 50 million will
die. There will be a great silence for about 3 months.
• Society will rapidly decay. It will be an era of extreme mistrust.
• The last month of this year (March) will be the CO, and the start of plague #3 looming.
2nd Twelve Months: Year of Destruction Within
• The president has been killed in his bunker along with others and some in
Congress.
• Within weeks of a CO, all cities fall, except SLC.
• Federal government is dissolved. Movement becomes limited as the plague
closes state borders. The third plague is released. 17 Million die.
• Locusts consume the Midwest.
• Mobs rule.
3rd Twelve Months: External Destruction
• The country is being torn apart by violence and mobs. Russia and China decide to invade. They nuke
Washington, DC and LA first (to stop mob violence) and it helps stop marauders from reaching the tent cities.
The 10 Tribes ultimately stop the gangs.
• The Russians are more wicked than the Chinese. The mobs are more violent than both of them. The
casualties are huge. The south has nearly starved, Florida is lined with bodies. There is an EMP, but the
electricity has been off for awhile anyhow.
• The tent cities are consolidated to make cities of light. The 10 Tribes start arriving.
• Australia is almost destroyed by Chinese. British try to stand with US but take heavy casualties. The 10
Tribes wipe out Chinese in Washington state and head for Utah. Chinese and Russia began to head home
due to internal problems. Some are converted to the gospel and take it back to China.
• At the end of this year there are approx. 12 million Saints left, 10 million of the 10 Tribes for a total of 21
million in America. Food is planted for the hordes who are making their way to Zion.
• He saw the U.S. being void the wicked. This was the end of his timeline.

DREAM OF PLAGUES
THE DREAM OF THE PLAGUES
Contributor 5:411
The present times seem to be more than usually prolific of prophetic dreams among the Latter-day Saints. In nearly every settlement the people have been warned of events soon to occur; and visions of the future glory of the Kingdom of God upon this earth have passed like a panorama before many of those who love God and obey His commandments. Some two or three years ago, I had retired for the night, when suddenly a glorious messenger appeared at my bedside and awoke me from my slumber. The light of his presence filled the room, so that objects were discerned as clearly as at noonday.
He handed me a book, saying, "Look, and see what is coming to pass." I took the book in my hands and, sitting up in bed, examined it carefully and read its contents. In size this book was about seven by ten inches, opening like a copybook and bound in beautiful covers, on the front of which was stamped in gold letters its title, which was The Book of the Plagues. The leaves were printed only on the front side of each, and were composed of the very finest quality of pure white linen, instead of paper. The typography throughout was in the finest style of the printer's art. Each page was composed of a picture printed in colors as natural as art can copy nature, which occupied the upper half of the space, below which was the printed description of the scene represented.
[80] On the first page was a picture of a feast in progress, with the long table set upon a beautiful lawn, over which were interspersed clumps of fine shrubs and towering trees. In the background through the foliage, could be discerned a stately suburban villa, adorned with all the ornaments of modern architecture. The landscape presented the appearance of midsummer. The sky, and indeed the whole atmosphere, appeared of a peculiar sickly brassy hue, similar to that which may be observed when the sun is wholly eclipsed, and the disc is just beginning again to give its light. Throughout the atmosphere small white specks were represented, similar to a scattering fall of minute snow flakes in winter. About the table a party of richly dressed ladies and gentlemen were seated in the act of partaking of the rich repast with which the table was laden. The minute specks falling from above were dropping into the food apparently unheeded by all, for a sudden destruction had come upon them. Many were falling backward in the agonies of a fearful death; others drooping upon the table, and others pausing with their hands still holding the untasted food, their countenances betraying a fearful astonishment at the peculiar and unlooked for condition of their companions. Death was in the atmosphere; the judgments of God had come upon them as silently and swiftly as upon the proud Sennaeharib and his host of Assyrians.
In one corner of this picture was a small circular vignette, showing the front of the store of a dealer in pork. The wide sidewalk was covered by an awning supported on posts at the outer edge, and on this walk were shown barrels of pork, long strings of sausages, fresh slaughtered hogs, piles of smoked bacon and headcheese; and along the edge of the walk, next to the store, beneath the front windows, [81] leaned a number of large hams and pieces of side meat, reaching across the whole front, except a small space at the doorway. There were twelve of these pieces, and on each piece was painted a large letter, in order to make as a whole the word abominations.
Below this scene was the description: "A Feast among the Gentiles, commencement of the Plague." And in smaller type below, a note saying that the particles of poison, though represented in the picture, are
so small as to be invisible to the naked eye.
On the next page was another picture. It was a street scene in a large city. In the foreground were the residences of wealthy city merchants. The character of the buildings gradually changed; along the view and in the distance were shown the great buildings of trade and commerce in the heart of a large metropolis. On the sidewalks throughout the long vista, the busy, throbbing, rushing crowd had been cut down like grass before the mower.
Again it was a midsummer scene. The same atoms of poison were falling through the air, but their work was done; the same sickly brazen atmosphere that seemed thick with foul odors laid upon the earth, in which no breeze stirred a leaf of the foliage. Upon the balconies of the richly decorated residences, across the thresholds of the opened doorways, along the walks and upon the crossings, lay the men, women and children, who a few days before were enjoying all the pleasures of life. Further on, the dead were everywhere. Houses of business that had been thronged with customers stood with open doorways, frowning upon streets covered with the dead. Across the thresholds of the banks lay the guardians of wealth, but no thieves were there to [82] take the unlocked treasures within. The costly merchandise of a thousand owners laid untouched upon the counters and shelves. In the noonday glare of the sickly sun, not a soul was shown alive; not one had been left to bury the dead--all had been stricken or had fled from the death-dealing plague and the doomed city. Along midway upon the street, a hungry drove of those horrible ugly slaughterhouse hogs, (which may be seen in the pens attached to the filthy slaughtering places in the outskirts of many cities), was tearing and devouring the dead and feasting upon the bodies of rich and poor alike with none to molest them.
Below this picture was the description: "Progress of the Plague among the Gentiles. A street scene in a large city." Nearly fifty of these pictures I carefully observed, wherein the fearful effects of this and other plagues were almost as vividly portrayed as if I had actually seen them.
The last scene in the book was descriptive of the same plague as the first. A beautiful park-like, grassy prairie was surrounded by elm and cottonwood trees, the area embraced being about eighty rods across. In the centre of this enclosure was a large cone-shaped tent of a bright purple color, about thirty feet in height by twenty in diameter at the base. Midway in height in this tent was a floor dividing the inside into two stories. Near this tent was another, a round wall tent, about thirty feet in diameter, and nearly as high as the first. This was clean and white. Leaving a space of about a hundred yards from these central tents were hundreds of small rectangular wall tents in rows, reaching as far as the surrounding trees, each tent clean and white, and appearing to be of a size suited to the wants of [83] an ordinary family. Not a human being, animal, bird or vehicle was in sight. Not a breath of air appeared to be stirring. The same atmosphere as in the previous pictures, with the atoms of poison, was represented, and the same time and season of the year.
Below this picture was the description: "A camp of the Saints who have gathered together and are living under the daily revelations of God, and are thus preserved from the plague." I understood from this that each family was in its tent during the hours of the day that the poison falls, and thus were preserved from breathing the deathly particles.
Handing the book to the messenger, who all this time had remained by my side, he vanished from my view as suddenly as he had appeared. I awoke my wife, who was soundly sleeping, and commenced to relate to her what I had just beheld. After telling her the description of the two pictures at the beginning of the book, and commencing on the third, this third picture and all up to the last was suddenly taken from my memory, so that I have never been able to recall them; but still I remember that they were scenes about the plagues and judgments.
In the revelations given to the Prophet Joseph, among the many plagues and judgments portrayed, that given in the Doctrine and Covenants, Sec. 29:17-20, has always seemed to me to fully coincide with what has been related in the account of that dream. But whether that plague or another is meant, it does not matter. Plagues will come and the wicked must suffer; but the Saints will be preserved by the very principle for which the wicked persecute them, which is present revelation from the Almighty.

TEN TRIBES AND NEW JERASULEM DREAMER
During the last 2-1/2 months from the first week of May until July 2011, the Lord has blessed me with a plethora of many, many dreams. I feel the number of dreams received has been on the order of 50-60 in number. Virtually every night I’ve had dreams and several times I had the same dream over and over as the Lord tried to drive home a point he wanted to make to me. These dreams have run the gamut from the callout and tent cities to the return of the Ten Tribes, and Zion’s Camp triumphant return to Jackson County. I also have had dreams regarding the events leading up to the 2nd Coming, the Resurrection, what life will be like during the Millennium and also some facts relating to a Celestial existence.
If I were to write down everything that I’ve seen in detail I would have a pretty decent sized novel. Therefore, I will only share the info which to me is of a more interesting nature and just give a synopsis of all of my dreams. Unfortunately, the dreams came so fast and furious that I really don’t think I will even remember all of them.
How long will the Call Out Be?
I was shown that the duration of the call out will be at least two full winters. I was not told precisely which month the call out would begin with. We would have to make it through both the first long bitter winter during which the invasion of America would occur, and then on through the following second winter. The Saints will then leave their tent cities during the early spring time (late March to mid-April). So the total time in the camps will be somewhat less than two full years.
How Will The Sealed Tent Cities Be Protected?
I had two very vivid dreams regarding this matter and to tell the truth it really was NOT what I had envisioned the sealing process would be. In my dreams I was shown that when the Lord says the tent cities will be sealed they will indeed be completely sealed from any outside danger. The Saints in these tent cities will be placed on another plane of existence outside the range of senses available to the temporal world. It is not unlike how we mortals live side by side with the spirits in the spirit world. We coexist with them, the spirits can see us but we can’t see them.
In both of my dreams I saw clear examples of how evil men who were looking for the Saints and their tent communities actually came into the camps. We could see them and hear them although they appeared to us as wispy ghostly entities that we could actually see through, but they could not see us. They could pass through us and our tents and we could pass through them, but they could not see, hear, discern, or harm us in any way shape or form. In my dream it was amusing to see them come into camp looking for the Saints, but they could not find us, and after looking around for a while they would leave and go away.
What Happens After We Leave the Tent Cities?
At the end of our tent city experience, a number of Saints will be chosen to begin the journey back towards Jackson County. The majority of those chosen will be those who were faithful in the beginning and went to the sealed tent cities when the Lord called for them to go. In fact, the purpose for spending time in the sealed tent cities is for the Saints to prepare themselves to eventually meet with and to dwell in the presence of their God. In my dream it seems that this group consisted of about 100,000 individuals. Upon leaving Utah though, our travels take a rather circuitous route; we first travel south into northern central Arizona and then travel eastward towards Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The purpose for this diversion in travel is that the Lord desires to fulfill his promises to the Lamanites of North and Central America to include them in the construction of the New Jerusalem. As we travel through Arizona and New Mexico, we pick up allies from the Navajo, Hopi, Zuni, Apache, and Pueblo Indian nations. In addition, other Indian tribes from throughout the country and from Mexico and Central America have been led by the Lord to meet up with the Saints in New Mexico. Plus, there are many Hispanic people who will also join the group. At this point our forces have now grown in size to over a million people.
After leaving New Mexico we will then head north through eastern Colorado, it is at this point that my dreams get really interesting. We are traveling along the foothills of the Front Range of the eastern Rocky Mountains, I can see Pike’s Peak off to the west and from my position I would judge that we are just east of and between the cities of Colorado Springs and Denver. It is at this point that we then meet up with an enormous group of people who are traveling down from the north.
It is the Ten Tribes. It’s difficult to estimate the size of their group but it is definitely in the millions. Their forces consist of vehicles that can float in the air and travel some10-15 feet above the ground. I was not told what the motive force for these vehicles is; but I assume that it is some kind of anti-gravity technology. I’m not informed either as to where the Ten Tribes have been hidden these past few thousand years, but in my dream the meeting between our group and theirs is joyous beyond description. At this point we join forces and turn east to head across Kansas and on to Jackson County, Missouri.
After relating this particular dream to a relative of mine he later pointed out an interesting correlation in the scriptures that I had not noticed before. In D&C 133:31 it says “And the boundaries of the everlasting hills shall tremble at their presence.” We know from modern revelation that the everlasting hills are the Rocky Mountains. I would guess that the foothills bordering the eastern Front Range would qualify as the boundary of the everlasting hills. So once again I see a confirmation in scripture of the things I have witnessed in my dreams.
There is one other point I would like to make regarding the coming of the Ten Tribes that was revealed to me in these dreams. In D&C 133:30 it says “And they shall bring forth their rich treasures unto the children of Ephraim, my servants.” These rich treasures consist of two things, first it is their genealogy records, history, and scriptures; and secondly, it is the knowledge of their science, advanced technology and industrial might. The Ten Tribes are ahead of us in technology by several hundred years. After reaching Jackson County and we begin the process of rebuilding our society we will be doing it with the tools and technology of the Ten Tribes. Everything that we presently own of a technological nature will become obsolete overnight.
In my dream I saw that they can produce vast amounts of virtually free electrical power. That energy is transmitted wirelessly through the air to power everything from ground vehicles (they will also float in the air above the ground, so you can say goodbye to wheeled transportation) to all electrical appliances, and the lights in our buildings, etc. They have also developed the ability to trans-mutate matter into any other element or combination of elements. No longer will we have to mine or drill deep into the earth to obtain our raw materials. Copper, Iron, Aluminum and all other metals can be created at will just from the common rocks that cover the earth. Also, virtually all of our non-metallic goods are formed from just four basic elements (hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, and nitrogen) with a smattering of other elements thrown in. So all of our raw materials to create plastics, clothing, and building materials: can also be trans-mutated out of common rock.
What Happens During Our Journey to Jackson County?
Our journey to Jackson County is not without danger and some hardship. As our group grows with the addition of the Lamanite/Hispanic people, and especially after we join forces with the Ten Tribes we attract the attention of the foreign armies who have previously invaded America. During our travels across Colorado and Kansas I saw several encounters with the Russian military that are deployed out of a base located near Saint Louis, Missouri. In my dreams I was shown that when the US is initially attacked that the Chinese and their North Korean allies will set up bases of operations on the west coast in Seattle, San Francisco, and Long Beach Harbor. The Russians will set up bases in New York Harbor, Chesapeake Bay, and in the mid-west city of Saint Louis; in addition, their Cuban allies will set up a base of operations in Miami and take over most of southern Florida.
From these strongpoints the invaders will “attempt” to move inland across the western US but they are met with strong opposition on all fronts. One long running battle that I saw was an attempted intrusion into Utah by way of Reno and Elko, Nevada. This was undoubtedly the same battle that the Texas Dreamer also saw in his dream. The foreign armies are indeed able to drop in troops by parachute anywhere they want to in the country and to resupply them by air. Their ability to do so does indeed create many problems for the people of the intermountain west who will suffer from these incursions. But whenever the foreigners attempt to open up supply lines by road or rail in order to move in heavy equipment into the Rocky Mountain area; they are stopped on every front. Eventually, they stop trying to take over the intermountain west and concentrate on consolidating their currently held territory on both coasts and in the mid-west.
However, when the Saints and their allies begin to mass together and move across the Great Plains towards Missouri, both China and Russia and their allies decide it is time to put an end to this “Mormon Problem”. I see plans made to attack the massed Saints /Lamanites/ Ten Tribes and the populations of the intermountain west with nerve gas agents, biological agents, and nuclear weapons. But before the foreign armies can put their plans into action the Lord bares his arm and wipes out virtually all of the invaders from off the land of the United States in just a matter of hours.
Prior to this massive act of destruction the US has been hit hard with many natural disasters, there have been many, many major earthquakes that level most of the cities in the country. There have been violent storms, tsunamis, and volcanoes going off. But up until this point in time the destruction has only destroyed existing physical structures in addition to killing many people. In His final act of vengeance against the wicked and ungodly, the Lord roils the North American continent from one end to the other with a series of the most massive earthquakes ever seen by man.
Within the space of just a few hours these earthquakes completely reshape the United States, resulting in the entire west coast from Seattle to Tijuana collapsing into the Pacific basin, the entire east coast from Maine to South Carolina dropping below the surface of the Atlantic, and all of southern Florida up to about the Orlando area sinking beneath the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. And finally, the New Madrid fault from New Orleans to the Great Lakes rips open the Mississippi River Valley and the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Eastern Texas, Arkansas, most of Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Western Ohio/Kentucky/Tennessee, all plummet into the earth with a new gulf or sea flooding in over this ground. In just one day America loses about a third of its land mass which also happens to include the location of all of the foreign invaders major bases. Both Russia and China lose millions of men from their military and tens of billions of dollars’ worth of war supplies have been destroyed that were brought over to support their conquest of the American continent. With their bases gone, their military forces destroyed and a fortune in war supplies lost, plus, worst of all the very land and resources that they had coveted are now lying at the bottom of the sea: all of the foreign invaders pick up and leave the USA as quickly as they possibly can never to return.
Life in the New Jerusalem
When the Saints and their allies arrive in Jackson County they begin the task of building the city of our God. Upon their arrival they will find the topography of the land vastly different from what it is now. Just east of where the temple will be built and where the city of New Jerusalem will be raised, the entire plain will now sit atop a high bluff of perhaps a thousand feet above sea level. You can see out across the newly formed gulf upon this bluff to a distance of many miles. Just north of the temple complex the mighty Missouri River will flow into this new Gulf after making a final plunge from the bluff above in a spectacular waterfall to the ocean a thousand feet below. The mist rising from this waterfall will create a spectacular effect of covering the city in a myriad of rainbows as one approaches it from the sea.
The blessing and responsibility for building this city will fall upon the Lamanites. Their ancestors built cities that have stood for thousands of years and they will know how to build this city to stand throughout the Millennium. The Ten Tribes for many years will form the backbone of our new industrial society until our children and grandchildren can be taught the sciences upon which these technologies are built. We cannot be taught or understand these things overnight, it will take some time. However, it is the blessing, birthright, and responsibility of the tribe of Ephraim to administer all things pertaining to the government of the Kingdom and to hold the keys of the Priesthood and the saving ordinances of the temples. Our duties will be to build and administer the temples, to form the backbone of the government and to act as agents of the Lord in governing all of the earth during the Millennium.
New Dream
On the night of July 7, 2012, I dreamed that my wife and I were part of a Church Council where we were informed that America was now completely awash in wickedness, evil, and sin; and that the seal of “spiritual protection” that had been placed upon her since the country’s founding had now been revoked. And that the judgments of God had already begun to roll forth (i.e. the heat wave that has been roasting the country for the last 3 weeks): and that from this time forth they would multiply and intensify in severity.
We were then assigned to visit the sites where the tent cities were being prepared to check on the final preparations. We checked the communications equipment, checked on medical supplies, and inventoried the stockpiles of tools.
The next thing that happened in my dream was that I was shown an image of a man who appeared to have fallen from a great height and his body was twisted and completely broken by the impact. Immediately, this image was replaced by a map of the USA and I then heard the words that America’s economic backbone would soon be broken. The impression that was felt more than seen was that a widespread catastrophic natural disaster would strike the nation and it would result in horrific economic damage to the entire region.
Next in my dream I was shown many people lying dead or dying in a field and once again I heard a voice say that shortly after the natural disaster seen earlier (once again in my dream it was felt more than seen or heard that it would be only a few weeks after the disaster) death would begin to stalk the land. The people in the field appeared to be suffering from disease and plague (could this be the result of a bio-terror attack?).

BRIGHAM YOUNG - TO YOUR TENTS O' ISRAEL
The President [Brigham Young] stopped with us. He sat at the head of the table and had me sit down at
his right. The President, when everything was ready, asked a blessing, then all began to eat. He asked for
some buttermilk, then crumbled some bread in it and began to eat. He conversed freely on the situation of
the Saints in the mountains, and said that he dreaded the time when the Saints would become popular with the
world; for he had seen in sorrow, in a dream, or in dreams, this people clothed in the fashions of Babylon, and drinking in the spirit of Babylon until one could hardly tell a Saint from [22] a black-leg.
And he felt like shouting, `To your tents, Oh Israel!' because it was the only thing that could keep this people pure.
Many of this people for the sake of riches and popularity, will sell themselves for that which will canker their souls and lead them down to misery and Despair. It would be better for them to dwell in wigwams among the Indians than to dwell with the gentiles and miss the glories which God wishes them to obtain. I wish my families would see the point and come forth before it is too late. For oh, I can see the tendency in my families to hug the moth eaten customs of Babylon to their bosoms. This is far more hurtful to them than the deadly viper; for the poisons of the viper can be healed by the power of God, but the customs of Babylon will be hard to get rid of.

A DIVISION IN THE LAND - THE FARNSWORTH DREAM
In a sermon about 1857 Apostle Orson Hyde quoted the 1844 Farnsworth Vision "as correctly as my memory will allow me".
Language cannot describe how happy and contented we all were. Being of one heart and one mind, we enjoyed every blessing we desired. Soon Brother Brigham jumped up and clapped hands and cried out, "Now, boys, for Jackson County!" And we were all on the move in a short time.
The next scene I remember, I was within a short distance of Jackson County, arm in arm with one of the brethren walking directly south, being on the west side of the street or road. We saw an old mobocrat walking towards us. He raised his head, and as our eyes caught his, he screeched aloud, withered, and passed away as a thing of naught.
The vision closed, and I found myself standing in the street of Nauvoo where I was when it commenced. (The 3½ Years, p. 177; Visions of the Latter Days, pp. 85-87)
2 Nephi 30:
7 And it shall come to pass that the Jews which are scattered also shall begin to believe in Christ; and they shall begin to gather in upon the face of the land; and as many as shall believe in Christ shall also become a delightsome people.
8 And it shall come to pass that the Lord God shall commence his work among all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people, to bring about the restoration of his people upon the earth.
9 And with righteousness shall the Lord God judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth. And he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
10 For the time speedily cometh that the Lord God shall cause a great division among the people, and the wicked will he destroy; and he will spare his people, yea, even if it so be that he must destroy the wicked by fire.
11 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
12 And then shall the wolf dwell with the lamb; and the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf, and the young lion, and the fatling, together; and a little child shall lead them.
In a sermon about 1857 Apostle Orson Hyde quoted the 1844 Farnsworth Vision "as correctly as my memory will allow me".

MOSIAH HANCOCK - TWO GREAT POLITICAL PARTIES
Mosiah Hancock, an early Mormon pioneer, recorded the following prophecy of Joseph Smith in his autobiography.
"The next day the Prophet came to our home and stopped in our carpenter shop and stood by the turning lathe. I went and got my map for him. "Now", he said, "I will show you the travels of this people". He then showed our travels through Iowa, and said, "Here you will make a place for the winter; and here you will travel west until you come to the valley of the Great Salt Lake! You will build cities to the North and to the South, and to the East and to the West; and you will become a great and wealthy people in that land. But, the United States will not receive you with the laws which God desires you to live, and you will have to go to where the Nephites lost their power.
They worked in the United Order for 166 years, and the Saints have got to become proficient in the laws of God before they can meet the Lord Jesus Christ, or even the city of Enoch". He said we will not travel the shape of the horse shoe for there we will await the action of the government. Placing his finger on the map, I should think about where Snowflake, Arizona is situated, or it could have been Mexico, he said, "The government will not receive you with the laws that God designed you to live, and those who are desirous to live the laws of God will have to go South. You will live to see men arise in power in the Church who will seek to put down your friends and the friends of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Many will be hoisted because of their money and the worldly learning which they seem to be in possession of; and many who are the true followers of our Lord and Savior will be cast down because of their poverty.
"There will be two great political parties in this country. One will be called the Republican, and the other the Democrat party. These two parties will go to war and out of these two parties will spring another party which will be the Independent American Party. The United States will spend her strength and means warring in foreign lands until other nations will say, "Let's divide up the lands of the United States", then the people of the U. S. will unite and swear by the blood of their fore-fathers, that the land shall not be divided. Then the country will go to war, and they will fight until one half of the U. S. army will give up, and the rest will continue to struggle. They will keep on until they are very ragged and discouraged, and almost ready to give up--when the boys from the mountains will rush forth in time to save the American Army from defeat and ruin. And they will say, 'Brethren, we are glad you have come; give us men, henceforth, who can talk with God'. Then you will have friends, but you will save the country when it's liberty hangs by a hair, as it were." (Source: Autobiography of Mosiah Hancock, typescript, BYU-S. Compiled by Amy E. Baird, Victoria H. Jackson, and Laura L. Wassell (daughters of Mosiah Hancock).
